How do you stay creative? To stay creative, I need to travel. I live in a charming village in France surrounded by nature and not far from the sea. For a dose of urban feeling, I visit big cities like Barcelona, Brussels, Amsterdam, Kuala Lumpur and Chiang Mai, etc. Therefore, I manage to absorb the inspirations from the best of the contrasting world.
What are you inspired by? I am inspired by the simple things in life; an old man walking his dog on a flea market, the sound of the wind blowing in the trees, reading an interesting book, looking at a butterfly flying in my garden, daydreaming on the beach, a surprising YouTube film, my two cats playing with each other, a modern dance performance.
What is the story behind your favorite design in your DENY gallery? My favorite design is the “Ostrich with the Stacking Teacups” because it reflects everything I like: surrealist, funny, weird, colorful, joyful yet simple composition. It also has a kind of “Monty Python” dimension for me.
