How do you stay creative? When I started my career more than 15 years ago I used to go to bookstores and look for inspiration. Nowadays, it’s all on social media – Pinterest and Instagram is my constant source of inspiration. It’s hard to imagine life without these platforms. It is mind blowing how many talented people around the world I’ve discovered. I follow numerous talented folks in various industries – fashion designers, photographers, cake makers, potters, painters, sculptors, florists, interior designers – you name it. So, I get a rich & healthy dose of daily inspo!.

What are you inspired by? New York is a phenomenal place to be and I’m more than grateful to live nearby this amazing city. I work whenever I get the chance; inspiration can spring up anywhere and any time, so I try to be open to it and have my sketchbook handy. For me being a designer is not just a job, it’s a lifestyle that I deeply love and will do for the rest of my life.

What is your favorite trend and how have you incorporated it into your designs? It’s very important for me to stay on top of all the current trends, but it’s not always easy to find your own voice as these trends come and go. I must admit, I skip a few that don’t inspire me as much, but that doesn’t mean I stop challenging myself creatively.

What is the story behind your favorite design in your DENY gallery? My current new love trio is Abstract Marble Texture + Fractals + Splash of Gold. Such a luscious combo! I feel like this combination is elegant and full of Holiday spirit. Take a look at my two most recent pieces – Winter Marble and Winter Marble II. Don’t you see a little magic?
