We had an opportunity to sit down with her and get the scoop on how she does what she does. Here we go:
How do you stay creative?
Well…the old answer was travel, but life as a new mother that has changed things drastically. I still love to travel and have gone on a few adventures with the baby, but these days it is all about finding flow and beauty in the mundane. Staying present in everything I’m doing is changing the way my creativity flows during this season of learning to do more with less time.
What are you inspired by?
Fashion. Museums. Nature. Travel. The function and the feeling of art and products.
What is your favorite trend and how have you incorporated it into your designs?
The trends in print and pattern haven’t really budged in a bit. Still loving florals, globally inspired prints, and organic patterns found in nature (think magnificent marble). I am always first and foremost inspired by color. Still loving blush pink. Navy was my number one neutral for the past few years, but it is time to move along to all those yummy shades of jewel jade and deep forest. Yum!
