Daily Digs | Pastel Tones Meet Saturated Hues

Daily Digs | Pastel Tones Meet Saturated Hues

We’re always in the mood for a fresh color palette inspiration for our homes! We were giddy when we came across today’s Daily Digs from Finnish magazine Kotivinkki and their take on a marriage of pastel hues and slate gray neutrals for the home. We love the combination of the subtle freshness of robin’s egg blue pastels, creams and greens mixed with splashes of saturated pinks and magentas. It’s soft, subtle, but makes oh such a statement.

Working with bright white and gray foundations, the addition of pastel hues is endless without looking too cluttered. Mixing in saturated versions of the same pastel hues will keep it from looking like an Easter egg hunt gone wild.

Bold black and white patterns are a perfect mix-in to anchor the ethereal hues back in the design. And how sweet is that wall decal? We love the cross stitched lettering from a Finnish lullaby translated as “Sleep, sleep grassland bird.”
