Rock and Roll BOLD! We love this room, brought to us by Russian architecture firm INT2 Architecture. In this space, they show us that bold and subtle can sing together in perfect harmony. The bold geometric shapes cover the space in black and white, specifically set off by the ever-so-popular IKEA LAPPLJUNG RUTA rug.  The beautiful rug pattern is bordered by chartreuse and a saturated robin’s egg blue that set off the room’s color palette. Throughout the space, you’ll find bold pops of chartreuse and just a hint of the oh-so-subtle robin’s egg blue. Add in some personality with some of your favorite vinyl covers and funky accessories and you’re good to go! We certainly think this color palette is destined for rock and roll stardom.

We love when a playful sense of humor and quirky personality shine through home decor. It makes a home ultra personal, open and inviting! We love this nook of a space from blogger Laurana of Life Thru A Lens.  She prettied up this cabinet with fun geometric pattern and sunny accents! We absolutely love the canary yellow light fixture. It adds the best POP of color to a neutral canvas! She completes the look with quirky, cute art in bold colors.

Anderson Design Group has been part of the DENY Artist family for quite some time. But, do you really know who’s behind the magic?

Joel Anderson, founder of Anderson Design Group, graduated from Ringling College of Art and Design in 1986. His design firm has been creating branding for companies all over the world since 1993, but Joel’s real hobby/obsession is vintage poster art. Joel and his team of artists have admired and studied classic illustrated advertising prints for years. When they wanted to collect their favorites, they found that antique prints were just too expensive and the best public domain reproductions have been over-exploited. So, Joel had an idea, “What if we created our own classic poster designs featuring modern themes, but hand-rendered them in the tradition of the masters of the Golden Age of Poster Art?” So, they did just that. One of their first design collections, Art and Soul Of America, has won loads of design awards and quickly became a best-selling series of limited edition prints. Today, Joel and his team at Anderson Design Group, continue to create new lines of prints from the city of Nashville.

Aaron explained, “An amazing collaboration with the uber-talented Bess Friday, this shoot is meant to be a juxtaposition of the urban and the urbane. The warehouse space has amazing natural light, providing an ethereal quality that inspired the muted color palette. The rough wood floors provided the perfect canvas for what evolved into a glam, flower-rich table setting.”

We loved the end result so much that we thought, “We not live in a space this beautifully styled all the time?” So, we came up with a beautiful Uptown Sophisticate Collection to help set you off in style.

Meet Holli Zollinger. She’s new to the DENY Artist family and boy are we excited!

Holli Zollinger is a self-taught artist who has made a career of her talents: drawing, painting, graphic and fabric design. Inspired by nature and motivated by creating, Holli incorporates color, texture and pattern she sees from her native Utah. She spends most of her day juggling between the inspirations of being a designer and the day-to-day schedule of motherhood.

You can see her talent in beautiful pattern-making all throughout her work. She works with the most beautiful blues, reds, yellows and greens in quirky prints and classic patterns. Her designs are perfect for mixing and matching into just about every room you can think of. Here is a sampling of the designs featured on DENY. Have fun designing!
