Anderson Design Group has been part of the DENY Artist family for quite some time. But, do you really know who’s behind the magic?

Joel Anderson, founder of Anderson Design Group, graduated from Ringling College of Art and Design in 1986. His design firm has been creating branding for companies all over the world since 1993, but Joel’s real hobby/obsession is vintage poster art. Joel and his team of artists have admired and studied classic illustrated advertising prints for years. When they wanted to collect their favorites, they found that antique prints were just too expensive and the best public domain reproductions have been over-exploited. So, Joel had an idea, “What if we created our own classic poster designs featuring modern themes, but hand-rendered them in the tradition of the masters of the Golden Age of Poster Art?” So, they did just that. One of their first design collections, Art and Soul Of America, has won loads of design awards and quickly became a best-selling series of limited edition prints. Today, Joel and his team at Anderson Design Group, continue to create new lines of prints from the city of Nashville.

Meet Holli Zollinger. She’s new to the DENY Artist family and boy are we excited!

Holli Zollinger is a self-taught artist who has made a career of her talents: drawing, painting, graphic and fabric design. Inspired by nature and motivated by creating, Holli incorporates color, texture and pattern she sees from her native Utah. She spends most of her day juggling between the inspirations of being a designer and the day-to-day schedule of motherhood.

You can see her talent in beautiful pattern-making all throughout her work. She works with the most beautiful blues, reds, yellows and greens in quirky prints and classic patterns. Meet Sharon Turner. She knows a thing or two about our tagline, “art therapy for your home.”

Sharon has been a part of the DENY Artist family since August of 2012. She never fails to bring us art that’ll knock your socks off! Her talent is in her intrincally detailed and color-injected eye for design!

Sharon is a wife, mother of two and night owl extraordinaire living in Nottingham, United Kingdom. Passionate about drawing and designing, she also sews and makes jewelry. Her background is an eclectic mix of art, medical science and interior decoration. Color is an obsession and art is her therapy…. and this shows in all her work. She loves what she does and hopes you love it too.

Sharon works with a variety of colors and never fails to wow us with intricate detail. Wouldn’t this be a great bedding set?

Meet Naaisha. The imagination and talent behind Arcturus.

Naaisha is a passionate, Maldivian artist who sees the entire universe as a pattern, including actions, thoughts, behaviors, emotions and feelings. She uses fine line drawings, vector illustrations & paintings as an expression of her pattern art.

Meet S. Eifrid. She’s got a distinct style that will have you begging for more!

Originally from Indiana, Suzie Eifrid, is the youngest of 5 kids and was born and raised into a very artistic family. She found her way to Atlanta where she now resides on a former dairy farm with her partner and daughter. The farm is home to her “live models” consisting of five dogs and two cats. The four-legged companions reign free over the farm as a constant source of amusement along with being the driving force in her art. Suzie enjoys all mediums and constantly explores the diverse world of color and texture.

Her animals are intricately drawn and adorned with the oh-so-cutest details!

Meet Nick Nelson. He’s the coolest DESIGNERD we know.

An kick-ass guy living in Minneapolis/St. Paul area, Nick Nelson has always felt that when Art and Design coexist in harmony, timeless work is produced. A Graphic Designer by diploma, and an Artist at heart – Color, Illustration, Typography, and Humor are the cornerstones of his work. Influenced by everything from vintage postage stamps to early 90′s skateboard designs, he’s never once complained about a lack of inspiration.

His style brings a whole new meaning to pop art. It’s cool. It’s fresh. It’s just the answer you’re looking for to make your life brighter.

We’ve loved having Nick Nelson as part of the DENY family. He’s someone we’d totally have a beer with.

Meet Chobopop. A crazy cool designer duo that pack a color punch!

Chobopop consists of Hungarian designer couple Amee Orbán and Csaba Gál. Both were born and raised in Transylvania and are currently living in Budapest. In 2005, they founded their small studio and began to design and produce felt toys. With these digitally designed and handsewn characters, they had the opportunity to present in Antwerp, Belgium at the Fashion Museum’s HomeMade Exhibition in 2007. The following year, Amee and Csaba’s work was showcased atMyplasticheart Gallery in New York. After receiving great exposure for their toy designs, Chobopop branched into digital vector illustration and graphic design where they express their love of the arts today.

She’s our DENY Artist of the Week!

“Ingrid Padilla is a Southern California-based artist currently living in her hometown of San Pedro, California, which is an artsy and unique busy port town full of generations upon generations of families. Ingrid is mainly a self-taught artist creating art since she was very young. Being a part of a family of artists and teachers, she couldn’t help being creatively influenced at an early age. For the past several years, Ingrid has been exploring a mix of abstract art, illustration, and digitally enhanced artwork combinations. Her paint and ink drawings are an extension of what she loves to create with color. She often combines her paint and ink illustrations with digitized layers to create many unusual effects. The unexpected is what she hopes to achieve in her art always…”

Meet Vyla. Our latest addition to the DENY Artist family!

Vy La is a freelance surface pattern designer and creative director for Vy La Designs. With several years of experience as a boutique brand children’s wear designer, she continues to have a love for colorful, playful and sophisticated design. Her design inspiration comes from nature, architecture, captivating colors, random doodling and her two kids. She particularly loves designing bold florals and using geometric shapes in a playful way.

Her art is bright, cheerful and absolutely perfect for bringing the spring flowers indoors.

Meet José Luis Guerrero.

He is a designer, illustrator, and art director living and working in Mexico. We are so thrilled to welcome José to the DENY Artist Family! José brings whimsically fun illustrations that are perfectly charming for any kids room.

From playful rainy days to monsters to animal fun, José doesn’t hold back on dreaming up the perfect scene that will take your imagination soaring.

He has designed for children’s books, art festivals and international book fairs, among other things. Jose enjoys his work but when he’s not in the studio, he’s probably reading, writing, or drawing!

The perfect canvas for any child’s imagination to soar. 

His art is the perfect start to a colorfully imaginative room!

Meet Sarah English, the brains and beauty behind Pattern State. 

With a background in painting, she works by day in the fashion industry and creates her custom patterns by night. Sarah lives in Texas where she draws from many inspirations and considers herself lucky to pursue her love of art, pattern and design.

“I’d like you to meet Ethel.  And if you look closely you’ll see a shotgun casually leaning there on her front porch. Ethel is not just a tough-as-nails, gun-wielding Texas farmer, she is also my great-grandmother. I am lucky enough to pursue my love of art, pattern, and good design because of the hard working women that came before me and used shotguns so I can use paint.” – Sarah

Oh stop it, Sarah, you’re too much. How amazing is she? We are literally obsessed with her pattern making. Like, really guys. Her use of bright and bold chartreuses, pinks and oranges should be outlawed it’s so good.

Meet Nicole Martinez.

“I grew up watching my architect grandfather draw plans with a pencil under his giant magnifier. His lines were sharp and concise. I don’t know when I decided to become an artist, but it must have been while watching his creations form on those flimsy sheets of paper.

I was born in Miami, educated in Gainesville, FL and have lived in Sao Paulo, Madrid, New York, Providence and now Boston. Every city, every step has been a place to learn and get inspired. I have so much fun designing, and I hope my art brings just as much joy to others so they can call it their own.” – Nicole
