Pop! Water Balloon Explosions in Slow Motion
Photographer Edward Horsford is the genius behind these photos of water balloons popping in slow motion (well, captured by an extremely high-speed camera). Who would have thought that a water balloon could be so beautiful?
The images are captured using a Nikon D200 at 1/40,000th of a second with a sound trigger to capture an image whenever the pop is heard. For added effect the water in the balloons was colored to create a magical explosion!
We love art in unexpected places!

I love when simple objects make unique photographs! Thanks for sharing this, the pictures are marvelous to look at
This is amazing! The water sure looks “fuzzy” or “furry”. Lol! Great post!!!
Gorgeous! The Five-Year-Old and I have to try this at home. We’ve had all kinds of fun popping balloons with plain old air in them. Clearly it’s time to ramp it up with some water play.
