Home Decor Color We Are Loving: Yellow

Are you in need of a way to add some color to your white room? Not always a first choice for most people, but using yellow can add such a bright pop of color that can turn your room from drab to sunny in a flash. No need to go overboard, or do, we find lots of yellow looks great too – but we are finding that even the smallest accent can make a huge difference!

Check out some of our favorite uses of the citrus -inspired color that we have stumbled across recently:

The apartment I moved into already had an accent wall painted yellow/gold (it came with the apt. Brand new). At first I wasn’t sure, but it grew on me! It makes the room really sunny (no pun intended)! I’m usually a pink girl, but this yellow wall is pretty nice. :)

    • Same here! I never painted over the accent wall that came with my apartment and it grew on me fast! I love how bright it makes the room feel!

  2. Thanks for this post, I’ve always loved yellow! I have shied away from using black and yellow (makes me think of bees) but that pop of blue takes it to another level.

    • I know right? I saw that an immediately fell in love! I would have never of thought to put those two together.

  3. I love the yellow against white and gray. I live the tiny black and white tiling in the bathroom. that’s beautiful.

  4. I’ve always wanted a yellow kitchen: warm but not hot. Lovely.

  5. We have a mostly-white decor, but we painted a canvass with a bold, abstract design in a citrus/egg yolk yellow – it turned out great!

    • Oooh! I want to try that in my living room! I have been struggling on how to add a pop of color without painting!

  6. Wow does that POP! Yellow is an extremely powerful color from what I am seeing here. Guess it’s time for me to pick a shade and match some decor and get my institutional white kitchen popping and alive with some sunshine color and brightness. Thanks these pics have opened up my mind to bright colors in the home. Time to experiment!
